General Hospital Spoilers: Adam Huss Exits GH – Nikolas Cassadine Leaves Town for Now

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Adam Huss recently got a warm welcome back to the role of Nikolas Cassadine, but SOD reports that his current stint is already ending. The September 15 episode marks the end of Huss’ latest run as Nikolas, who’s slipping out of town for now.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Nikolas is gone for good. The show has gone to great lengths to keep Nikolas alive, so they clearly have long-term plans for him.

If GH writers didn’t view Nikolas as important, then he would’ve truly perished when Ava Jerome (Maura West) whacked him over the head with that gargoyle statuette!

Instead, Nikolas survived with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) help and fought his way back to health.

Now that Nikolas has overcome a coma along with all the other challenges he’s faced, he’s ready for a new chapter.

However, the show apparently doesn’t intend to let that chapter play out onscreen just yet.

Since Nikolas is leaving town for the time being, that’ll drag things out when it comes to this character and all the drama that’s left for him on canvas.

Naturally, we have to consider whether Adam Huss will continue to portray Nikolas or whether another recast might happen.

There’s no word yet on that, so we’ll be sure to give you updates on any other comings and goings news.

Regardless, Nikolas is bound to show back up again – perhaps when Ava least expects it!

Ava has no idea that Nikolas survived her last encounter with him, but she’ll eventually have to come face to face with her ex down the road.
